1. What is the mission and purpose of the organization/charity funding the project?
Purple Heart Homes is a 501(c)3 local charity created by combat wounded veterans named John Gallina and Dale Beatty in 2008. After being injured in Iraq in 2004 the two veterans came back home and received a warm welcome and grateful appreciation for their service by the community. But the two then began to question why all veterans didn't receive the same level of support and assistance from society that they were given. Purple Heart Homes fills in the gaps in housing through the Veterans' Aging In Place and Veterans Home Ownership Programs. From building a ramp for a World War 2 Veteran, to providing home ownership opportunities to younger veterans, their programs are designed out of necessity and fit the specific needs of the veteran population.
2. Who are they trying to reach and why? (target audience, demographics) They are trying to reach anyone who will listen and help out their cause.
3. What is the primary purpose of the project? To educate? To train? Persuade? Inform? Raise money? Something else? (you can make this up - maybe your charity/organization has a special event coming up, or they just want to get their name out, etc) Purple Heart Home is having their first annual Dale Beatty Memorial 5K and Fun Run on September the 8th. Which is to raise money for the Dale Beatty Trust that is used to help Dale's wife and kids ever since he died on February 12, 2018. Also the money will be used for Purple Heart Homes' mission of providing housing solutions for Service Connected Disabled Veterans.
4. How will the project be deployed? Large window posters? Mass mailings? Table tents? (again, this is your choice, which do you think would be best for the primary purpose of the project) The project is to deployed via radio stations, social media, flyers, and mailing reminders to people who have helped out Purple Heart Homes in the past.
5. Are there certain colors they prefer? (look at their website design) Like their name says they prefer the color purple.
